Estic content. Ho he solucionat jo solet.
Efectivament, la configuració del locale pel català tenia un error.
He editat un arxiu moolt lleig que es diu /usr/share/i18n/locale/ca_ES,
i a la línia 2127, opció mon_grouping, el valor era de 2;3
He deduït que hauria de ser 3;3. Efectivament, després de fer el canvi i
fer un dpkg-reconfigure locales, la cosa ara ja va com una seda.
NOTA: Això no afecta a la presentació dels números normals (que tenen
0;0) sinó només a la moneda. Potser per això no ho havia detectat ningú
fins ara. I després diran que els catalans som gasius etc.
I ara què? com ho reporto això?

gnucash no havia vist que em sortia un

Aleshores era clar que treballava amb el locale per defecte (anglès?)

Hola a tots,
Tinc un problema amb el GnuCash que estic traduint (1.8.6). Resulta que
els números se'm visualitzen erròniament. Si entro 1200 a la pantalla
apareix "12.00,00", és a dir, posa el punt dels milers desplaçat
erròniament una posició cap a la dreta.
(curiosament, el cervell s'entesta a llegit "dotze" quan realment és un
nombre 100 vegades més gran!)
El meu locale és LANG=ca_ES@euro
Però si el canvio a LANG=es, aleshores surt (quasi) bé: "1,200.00", és a
dir, correctament col.locat però amb la coma i el punt intercanviats.
Algú em pot donar un consell al respecte? No domino massa el tema dels
locales.
